Objectives

Automation Systems Project connected to practical problems in working life. During the course focuses on feature clarifying then electricity sector in project work Finnish electricity area. Some practical issues are like a industrial control and automation systems, bus-field controlled process system, water-process or process control, automation systems (Siemens, metsoDNA or ABB), building automation system (like KNX or Ouman ext.), energy and heating systems, wind and solar system ext. Student learn by using CDIO-method;  conceive, design, and build (implement) from the offered issues some project topic. Project-based learning is an instructional method in which students learn a range of skills and subject matter in the process of creating their own projects. Almost all, these projects are solutions to a real-world problem. But what is most important in project-based learning is that students learn in the process of making something. They work in groups and bring their own experiences, abilities, learning styles and perspectives to the project. Finally, the students are testing and will deploy the equipment or outputs, and all outputs will present then project's final seminar.
