Content

Student learns to understand the holistic competences needed in coaching and how to apply these competences in either wellness or sports coaching. Student learns to comperehend psychology of coaching and how to apply communication tools to support the growth and development of an individual in practical working environments. Student learns to support the holistic development of an individual by planning physical

coaching and using it. Student will apply technology in the various phases of the coaching process. Student raises his/her level of understanding on general nutrition as part of coaching. Student develops his/her competence in terms of body and mind maintenance, prevention of sport injuries, and the process of health promotion. Student learns about various forms of exercise therapy and applies them in different perational environments. Student assesses and evaluates ethical principles and guidelines related to coaching and exercise therapy. Student improves his/her first aid skills by completing a first aid (EA2) training. Student understands the potentials of the northern environment in exercise therapy and wellness coaching. Student further develops his/her competence in the professional usage of English language.
