Knowledge:

· To provide you practical knowledge and skills of utilizing business information and data.

· You know the main principles and methods of enterprise information and data management, tools, standards and policies, including security issues.

· You know how to capture, store, and analyze data sets.

Skills:

· You are able to use the appropriate tools to create, extract, maintain, renew and propagate business information and data.

· You are able to recognize relevant and useful information and data in digital ecosystems and to apply efficiently analysis methods and tools.

· You are able to identify, analyze and overcome challenges related to enterprise information and data management processes.

Attitude:

· You understand that all business process of the digital enterprise depend on information and data analytics.

· The success of business decision making, digital services, and smart, connected products depends largely on efficient and effective data analytics.

The module is implemented through a problem-based learning approach. Teachers coach the learning process, lecture, guide the practical work, organize workshops, and provide consultancy to the students.

  2. Data analytics tools and their use
    • Introduction to data analytics

    • Building data analytics reports
    • Planning data analytics activities
    • Analysis of textual information
  3. Information and data strategy
    • Analyzing business challenges of the case company and proposing the information and data strategy for it

You are able to recognize relevant and useful information and data in digital ecosystems and to apply analysis methods and tools.

You know the main principles and methods of enterprise information and data management, tools, standards and policies, including security issues and are able to use the appropriate tools to create, extract, maintain, renew and propagate business information and data.

You are able to apply correctly the principles of enterprise information and data management. You are able to select and use the appropriate tools to create, extract, maintain, renew and propagate business information and data.

You are able to identify, analyze and overcome challenges related to enterprise information and data management processes.

Specific assessment criteria are provided for every assignment in moodle.

This module includes several mandatory assignments. These are done either individually or in a team according to the class instructions. The mandatory assignments are assessed with points summing up to 100 in total.

Additionally, the module includes activities by successfully completing which you can get extra points.

The final grade is defined according to the overall number of points you get by completing assignments and activities.
