Objectives

Student knows the aspects of creativity and how to utilize human resources in enhancing creativity in organizations by empowering. Student knows how to acquire and utilize information about future trends and weak signals in supporting creativity. Student is able to combine different resources in developing new service business concepts.

Contents

  • Individual creativity (innate skills, learned abilities, task attitudes) as the basis of the organizational creativity          
  • Empowering creativity through effective leadership (e.g. questioning status quo, encouraging risk taking, opportunities for continuous learning, rewarding practices) and utilization of organization’s absorptive capacity
  • Mapping and developing new service business ideas based on organizations resources and future trends

The assessment is based on the students active participation, and individual and team assignment.
