Objectives

After completing this module, you are able to establish, document, support and manage enterprise ICT environment according to various requirements of different stakeholders. Additionally, you know how to act in academic and professional environments, and to communicate successfully in teams. You know the guidelines for equality and are able to appreciate cultural differences. Assessment takes place at the various student learning path checkpoints that are presented in the week plan.

Pedagogical arrangements

This course is implemented as a learning project. In this project, you work in a teamto establish an ICT environment that meets the needs of a case company. Your work is supported by teachers who coach your work individually and in groups. Additional theme lectures may be given if found necessary.

Content

You collect, analyse and document ICT related needs of a case company.

You define technical, functional and service requirements for the case company's ICT environment.

You plan the ICT environment according to documentedrequirements.

You build a virtual model of the ICT environment

You perform various management and support activities in the virtualized ICT environment

Assessment

This course includes several mandatory assignments. The assessed knowledge and skills and the maximum points of each assignment are presented in the assignment descriptions. The quality of your work is assessed based on the table presented below.

0 - 50%

You do not have sufficient knowledge and skills in the subject matter, and communication, as it is evidenced by your input and participation in the project activities and the outcomes of your work.

51% - 60%

Your work is not systematic, comprehensive and logical. Your conclusions and development suggestions are basic and self-evident. Communication during the stages of the project work is sufficient.

61% - 70%

Your work is common in the field and does not introduce new perspectives to the ICT environment of the case company. The ICT environment meets the needs of the case company only partially. You contribute satisfactorily to the communication during the stages of the project work and the presentation.

71% - 80%

Your work is common in the field but introduce new perspectives to the ICT environment of the case company. The ICT environment largely meets the needs of the case company. You are actively contributing during the different stages of the project and the presentation.

81% - 90%

You utilize specialist knowledge to evaluate, justify, communicate, build and demonstrate the most appropriate ICT environment in accordance with business needs. You contribute significantly to the development of project documentation and presentation during different stages of the project.

91% - 100%

You utilize specialist knowledge to evaluate, justify, communicate, build and demonstrate the most appropriate ICT environment in accordance with business needs. You propose a long-term plan on the development of the holistic and optimal ICT environment. You have a significant role in the development of project documentation and presentation during different stages of the project.

Your final grade is based on the total points you have earned during this course.
