Students familiarize themselves in depth in service innovations. He/she is able to recognise the specific features of service experience development. Students are able to examine innovation strategy of Lapland and recognise innovative opportunities for service experience development. Students are able to distinguish how services and service experiences are designed and developed using innovative and creative tools in northern multicultural environments. Students are able to explain the meaning of Intellectual Property Rights in service business life and know the main tools used in protecting service businesses.
Multi-method approach is used: Lectures, workshops, seminars, independent assignment and group assignment and open-book exam
Workshops, the seminar and the exam are compulsory.
There is a business related commission - service experience development task included in the study unit.
Study material is announced in the beginning of the study unit.
