Sisältö

Learning outcome:

Students understand the importance of cultural issues in tourism and in the tourism industry internationally, nationally and locally. Students are familiar with the forms of tourism and major tourism areas and destinations. Students understand the interactive relationship between sustainable tourism and culture from the viewpoints of both the tourist’s experience and production of tourism services. Students understand the basic principal of consumer behaviour in tourism. They recognise Finland as an attractive cultural destination for various tourist groups.

  • Cultural tourism and other forms of tourism
  • Culture as resource and attraction; cultural products
  • Sustainable cultural tourism globally and locally including indigenous tourism
  • Major international tourism areas and cultures
  • Finland as a cultural destination
