Our pedagogical approach KOTA includes various pedagogical methods, such as tutorials, lectures, practical projects and learning assignments (such as a portfolio or blog). The specified timetable of the learning process is planned together with the working life and given at the beginning of the study unit. Tutoring and multi- stakeholder assessment of the learning process take place throughout the study unit according to the assessment criteria.

Students perform a real life innovation project starting from idea development and going through the stages of innovation process until the implementation and product/service testing in real market situation. Students are able to select the project idea, make a problem analysis, select and prototype the idea and test it in real market situation. After the course students have increased their innovations know-how.
The course includes teamwork on selected project and weekly tutorials by the teacher.
Assessment is based on the real work (actual process), project documentation and final report.
