Osaamistavoitteet ja teemat

3K3407 (ja 3K3406): The student is able to use 3D design software at the basic level. After the course, the student can apply 3D design software in product design and develop his/her  personal skills. The student knows how design work proceeds and he/she is able to manage small product design projects. The student is also able to produce 3D models and seek standard 3D data on the internet and from other sources. The student also learns the most commonly used 3D CAD formats and methods for data transfer. Reporting, documentation and 3D product design as a business is also included. Detailed topics: Autodesk Inventor 3D basics ; Microstation V8i 3D basics ; Links between the programs and data transfer ; Standard 3D objects (e.g. bearings, fasteners,...) ; Design project structure ; Data management ; Product structures (master data) ; Reporting and documentation.

Assessment 0-5. Assessment is based on design exercise(s), continuous commitment and general participation. Satisfactory skills/knowledge and participation = 1 ; Good skills/knowledge and active participation = 3 ; Excellent skills/knowledge and active participation = 5.
